"Chavayot" (Experiences) Therapeutic Zoo Center at Elazar
An experiential encounter with the animal world in this wildlife zoo, which is unique both in Israel and over the world, serves as an educational tool and a therapeutic aid. The "Chavayot" Center, located in the community of Elazar, is one of the finest of its kind. The center is home to over a thousand animals of various types, including exotic and protected species. You can touch and pet some lovely animals many of which are domesticated and used to humans. The center is recognized as a farm providing therapeutic assistance via animals and as a therapeutic horseback riding center, and as such is accredited by the medical insurance companies in Israel.
