Wineries
Gush Etzion is blessed with vineyards and has a tradition of wine production. This sloped region still gives living testimony to the ancient presses that existed here over 3000 years ago.
Gush Etzion is located in the land belonging to the tribe of Judah. Judah was blessed by his father Jacob blessing the wine (Genesis, 49).
The vineyards are planted on the slopes of the mountains at an altitude of approximately 900 meters, in rocky mountain soil with natural drainage. The cold climate and big temperature differences between summer and winter and day and night as well as the wonderful soil produce exquisite and prize-winning wines.
