Shaul Goldstein, left, mayor of Gush Etzion  last week visited the Canadian capital, Ottawa. During his visit, Goldstein met with Canadian government officials, cabinet ministers and parliamentarians. In his talks, Goldstein stressed the relevance of Israel in Judea and Samaria and the importance of Jerusalem for the Jewish people.

After the ceremony, Goldstein held an official meeting with Larry O'Brien, right, the mayor of Ottawa.  Goldstein said he discovered sympathy towards Israel as Canada's prime minister leads a strong line towards terrorism, and deeply sympathetic line towards Israel.  

The mayor's visit to Canada ended with speeches to members of the Jewish community and federation memberss.
