The Nativ family has lived in Bat Ayin for 20 years and was among the founders of the community. Ever-smiling, freckled Shlomo was the eighth in a family of nine children. A student at the local Talmud Torah, a neighbor described him as a "sweet, pure, innocent child." He helped care for the family's sheep, goats and chickens, feeding and milking them.
Shlomo Nativ was buried in the Kfar Etzion cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Haim and Revital, and eight siblings. The family is writing a Sefer Torah in his memory. The suspected murderer of Shlomo Nativ was arrested earlier this month by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the IDF.
