About Erez

Erez Levanon,  H'yd was a dedicated Breslov Hassid.

He was born in Haifa and  after his army service he became a Bal Teshuva. He studied in various Yeshivot , married Dafna and a few months later they moved to the community of Bat Eyin in Gush Etzion, a community well known for its artistic and creative residents who are also Balei Tshuva. Erez built their new home with his two hands where their three children were born.

Rabbi Michi Yosefi, a close friend and neighbor of the family, said that Erez was "humble and did not seek attention, yet managed to touch the hearts of thousands of Jews with whom he came in contact during their spiritual searching in India".

Erez spent the last seven summers in India  and worked with the "Jewish Home"- an organization for Israelis traveling in India to connect with their Judaism and the Jewish holidays.   "What he managed to do there was simply amazing," Yosefi said.  "I always wondered where such a talent came from, he had a special strength of faith."

The Disc

Erez produced a disc that is unlike those sold in stores; something very unique. The disc is called "Light in the Heart", written and composed by  Erez H"yd. Erez was a talented musician, who did wonders with his music.
