Gush Etzion Winery Wins Gold Medal

Gold Medal Again
The Gush Etzion Winery received another gold medal this week in Central America, Panama.
This time it was the Chardonnay Dessert Wine 2006. Famous wine tester Daniel Rogov ,"this wine is the color of damp golden straw, reflecting its five months in oak with hints of spices that come together with generous but not at all cloying sweetness. On the nose and palate appealing ripe peach and apricot fruits and what at one moment feels like vanilla and at the next white chocolate". Delightful!
All of the Gush Etzion wines are made from grapes grown in the vineyards of Gush Etzion.

This dessert wine is made from grapes grown at the Revadim vineyard. Revadim was a Shomer Hatzair kibbutz in Gush Etzion that fell in 1948.
This year we will be commemorating 60 years to the fall of Gush Eztion. What a modern day miracle to see vineyards blossoming again in the Hills of Etzion producing such excellent prize winning wines.
